Students at the Farmersville Intermediate School have been learning all about robotics this year.

The gifted program students at the intermediate school have starting working with coding and robotics.

Their education started with a lesson about what robots are and how they help humans including a had a robotic ‘guest speaker.’

Region 10 Education Service Center has a remotely operated robot which can be sent to schools in place of students who are hospitalized or who cannot attend school on a fairly long-term basis due to health issues, etc. The robot has a video camera, microphone, and a screen. The student can control the robot’s movements from their computer at home, and can listen to the teacher and interact with their teacher and classmates.
