The friendly folks at Independent Bank are doing their best to help out the community by hosting a school supply drive.
The drive, will help Farmersville ISD students in Pre-K through 12th grade and will run Monday, July 23 through Friday, Aug. 10.
“We just wanted to do something to help,” Independent Bank Branch Services Manager Shannon Palmer said. “The Bank is all about supporting our community and education. So this is a perfect fit.”
If you would like to participate, the following supplies are requested: 12” rulers, blunt tip scissors, Number 2 pencils, Crayola washable markers, tissues, Elmer’s washable glue, colored pencils, pencil cases, pink erasers, red ballpoint pens, spiral single and multi subject notebooks, pencil sharpeners, highlighters, loose leaf wide ruled notebook paper, composition books, three ring binders w/without subject tabs, protractors, post-it notes, index cards, folders with pockets, black/blue pens, Wite-Out correction fluid and mechanical pencils.
There will be a drop box inside the bank lobby for citizens to drop off supplies from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.
The bank is located at 223 McKinney Street in Farmersville.
At the conclusion of the drive, supplies will be delivered to Farmersville ISD for distribution to those in need.
