Trustees discuss audit, pay increase

by | Dec 20, 2018 | Education

Farmersville School Board approved its annual financial audit after receiving praise for strong numbers and a smooth auditing process.

Kirk Evans discussed the audit report at a board meeting Monday, Dec. 17.

“The audit went smoothly and we had no disagreements,” he said. “We’ve audited numbers as of Aug. 31. Our opinion is that it’s presented fairly and clearly. It mostly focuses on the general fund. The district ended the year with $15.3 million.”

He also added that the fund balance increased by about $1 million since last year.
