Family matters: Downtown store offers wide range of items

Featuring an eclectic variety of items, Mismatched Matter in downtown Farmersville offers a little something for everyone.

The business, located at 135 S. Main Street, specializes in high quality used furniture but also offers books, vinyl records, movies and much more.

Mother and son duo, Barbara and Matthew Carpenter, opened the store opened six years ago as a by-product of hard times and Farmers and Fleas.

When Matthew lost his job as a project manager for a security company he tried everything to find a new job and provide for his family.
