Farmersville residents are asked to turn in completed surveys mailed from city offices asking for opinions on the benefit of providing a city-owned high-speed internet network throughout the city. A letter sent with the surveys pointed out that Farmersville is in a rural area on the outskirts of a metropolitan area that currently is underserved by internet providers.
