Attorney opts for city council transparency

Farmersville City Attorney Alan Lathrom is exercising what he calls “an abundance of caution” while seeking to regu­late the off-duty actions of city council.

Lathrom, along with City Secretary Sandra Green, works to ensure that council is not opening itself up to any poten­tial allegation that it is conduct­ing public business without first offering proper public notifica­tion when a council majority gathers in the same room.
