Filings for a place on the May 2 Farmersville city government election have been open for a week and one candidate, Bryon Wiebold, has thrown his hat into the ring for the office of mayor.
Farmersville voters will select a mayor and two members of the city council this spring.
Candidate filings opened Jan. 15 and close on Feb. 14. Filing packets are available at City Hall, 205 S. Main Street.
