World War II veteran, former resident remembered

World War II veteran and former Farmersville resident, Joseph Wayne Spraggins died Jan. 22 at the age of 95 at Methodist Regional Hospital in Richardson.

Although known to many as Betty Spraggins’ doting other half who supported and helped her at The Honey Pot restaurant in downtown Farmersville, Wayne was much more than that to those who knew and loved him.
