FISD conducts first round of interviews

by | Feb 13, 2020 | Uncategorized

Farmersville ISD is a step closer to having a new superintendent.

Trustees conducted eight interviews between three meetings held Feb. 10-12. According to Board President Tony Gray, the board hopes to use the interviews to narrow their search down to two or three candidates.

They interviewed applicants during closed sessions all three nights. No names have been released yet.

The next stage will be a second round of interviews the week of Monday, Feb. 24, followed by home district visits March 2 through 4. A lone finalist will be named on March 5.

Current superintendent Jeff Adams announced his impending retirement last September after serving 20 years in the position. The application deadline was Jan. 7 and trustees spent most of January reviewing applications.

FISD school board will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24.
