Fire, police departments stay safe while serving

Farmersville Fire Chief Kim Morris said he doesn’t get out much these days while the nation battles the coronavirus pandemic but added that everyone is reporting emergency call volumes have dropped in their communities as a result of the nation’s response to the health crisis.

However, when the fire department gets a call that might involve a potential COVID-19 diagnosis, firefighters and emergency medical personnel have a specific protocol they follow, Morris said.
