FISD hires new police chief

by | Jul 29, 2021 | Latest

Steve Wade, a 30-year law enforcement veteran, is the new chief of police for the Farmersville Independent School District.

The new chief, who began working for FISD on July 1, succeeds former Police Chief Brian Alford, who recently resigned.

Wade, 60, is in command of a force that comprises three officers who were described by him as the individuals who actually “run” the department. “I won’t have to make any changes,” he said. “These officers do a great job. They have great experience and knowledge.”
