by | Oct 3, 2024 | Area news, Education, Latest

Collin College is launching its fall Dignity Initiative series with several events scheduled for October and November. These events are free and open to the public.

The Dignity Initiative is a district-wide campaign led by the Collin College Committee Against Gender Violence and Oppression. The goal is to educate the community and provide actionable steps to end gender-based oppression.

The series will begin with a panel discussion on Civility in an Academic Setting from 1-2:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3. at the McKinney Campus in the Welcome Center (Room W105). The panel will address how civility in academic environments fosters safe learning spaces where everyone is treated with respect and valued as an integral part of the community.
