James Logan Graham Sr. was born June 10, 1930, in Floyd, Texas. At 96 years old, he passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength and devotion to his family and friends.

Logan lived a long and meaningful life, touching the hearts of all who knew him through his kindness, wisdom and unwavering character. Logan Graham was a devoted husband, father and son. He married the love of his life, Barbara June Graham, on September 3, 1954. They were together almost 72 years.

Logan and June have four children: Sharon Graham Richardson of Nevada, Texas; James Graham, Jr. of Lavon, Texas; Norman Graham of Greenville, Texas; and Jeff Graham and his wife, Melanie, of Nevada, Texas. His greatest happiness came from spending time with his growing family. He was blessed with eight grandchildren: Amber (Dustin) Rogers, Amber (Justin) Whitlow, Ian (Sara) Sherman, Clint (Shelby) Graham, Jordan Graham, Brett Graham, Carolina (Robert) Cone and Kaylee (Travis) Peters; and 16 great-grandchildren who will forever cherish his guidance, stories and unconditional love.

He believed in the importance of family, faith and helping others, leaving an enduring example for future generations to follow. He was baptized and a member of Floyd Methodist Church.

He served in the Coast Guard during the Korean War. He worked at Western Electric for 35 years and at Digital Switch for 10 years. His hobbies were watching sports and going to baseball and football games. His community service included membership on the Nevada Cemetery Board, the Nevada Water Board and the Community ISD School Board. He was a 58-year member of the Masonic Lodge, Hella Shrine, Scottish Rite and York Rite.

He was preceded in death by his father, Augustus “Gus” Graham; his mother, Gussie Shelton Graham; his sister, Jean Billie Tucker; and his daughter-in-law, Debbie Graham.

While his family and friends mourn his passing, they will also celebrate a life well lived and find comfort in knowing his legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Scottish Rite Hospital.
