The Farmers more than held their own in the March 3-5 Krum Invitational, which featured larger classification programs.

They took the top spot after beating host and cross-lake rival Princeton 10-1 in the title game.

“It was a really good weekend for us. We were fortunate to be in a good spot on the bracket and that allowed us to pitch it the way we did. Our pitchers continue to be good and we’re starting to hit the ball better,” head coach Jon Nordin said. “We’re going to need to be better defensively, but I like the guys we’re putting out there. It’s always fun to win a tournament and good to get some days off before we hit it again.”
