Tucker Derrick and Angelina Lee likely did not plan to compete in a head-to-head contest to see who between them would finish first academically in their class at Farmersville High School.
But that is what happened as the scholars finished first and second, respectively, to lead the Farmersville High School Class of 2023. Tucker accumulated a grade point average of 4.4381 to finish as the class valedictorian, while salutatorian Angie accrued a 4.4351 GPA. They are closing out their high school years, to borrow a phrase, in a photo finish.
