One week after suffering its first loss of the season, Farmersville bounced back in a big way on Friday and earned a 48-0 road win over Wills Point to conclude non-district play.
Senior running back Marquis Oshodi turned in another standout performance, finishing with 191 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries as he nearly out-gained Wills Point by himself.
Oshodi opened the opened the scoring with a 33-yard touchdown run and his second touchdown run, a 29-yarder, gave the Farmers a 14-0 lead in the second quarter.
Farmersville (3-1) churned out 531 yards to just 237 for Wills Point (1-3) and forced two turnovers.
Junior quarterback Levi McAbee was an efficient 10-of-17 through the air for 217 passing yards and added 40 rushing yards with two total touchdowns.
Junior wide receiver Amare Warren was McAbee’s favorite target in the passing game, hauling in four catches for 127 yards, including a 40-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter to give Farmersville a 21-0 lead.
Head coach Zac Quinlan was pleased with the play of the Farmers’ defense. Farmersville racked up six sacks and had 21 tackles for loss.
A couple of positional changes helped the Farmers to flourish. Senior Rylan Mitchell was moved from linebacker to defensive end last week and senior Gordon Swartz took Mitchell’s linebacker spot.

Farmersville will host Gainesville next Friday for its District 5-4A Division II opener.
