Heavy smoke permeated the air during a multiple buildings structure fire in downtown Farmersville.
Multiple fire departments work together to save buildings in the downtown Farmersville area.
At around 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28 the Farmersville Fire Department responded to call heavy smoke and flames at 148 Main Street in downtown Farmersville.
Multiple agencies including Farmersville, Princeton, Blue Ridge, Josephine, Nevada, Caddo Mills and Wylie Fire Departments responded to the scene to help make a stop on the fire.
The fire ultimately caused a complete loss at 148 S. Main Street which housed The Gazebo Factory business and two more adjoining buildings.
Clay Potter’s Auction House, located at 138 S. Main Street, received heavy smoke and water damage though the structure was saved.
The American Red Cross, Nevada Volunteer Fire Department Rehab unit, Farmersville Citizens on Patrol, Farmersville Police Department and the Collin County Fire Marshal’s Office also responded to the scene to provide aid.
