by | Feb 7, 2019 | Latest

Additional filers have applied for the school board along with a withdrawal on the May 2019 ballot.

Incumbent Kenneth Roose has withdrawn his application to retain his seat for Place 6.

“Whereas, I have family members who may desire to seek employment with the FISD at some point during the next four years, and whereas those family members may not be considered for employment by the school district at any point that I am serving as a FISD trustee (per Legal Policy DBE – Nepotism), I hereby immediately withdraw my name as a candidate for FISD trustee Place 6 in the upcoming May 2019 election,” he said.

Jason McTee and Tommy Monk have also filed for the FISD school board.
