City hopes to plug into college

The city of Farmersville will move toward negotiating a commercial energy contract with the future Collin College center.

City Manager Ben White sought council approval at the Tuesday, July 9 city council meeting to allow him to negotiate rates with the college.

“I want to see what we can do to be competitive with the other energy providers out there,” White said.
