Farmersville FFA had an exceptional week at the Collin County Jr. Livestock Show.

The annual livestock show, held Jan. 7-14 at the Myers Park and Event Center in McKinney, kicked off the busy show season for most of the students, who have been raising their animals for much of the past year.

Farmersville FFA and Jr. FFA was represented by 35 members in six categories at the show.

In the swine show, Farmersville students truly brought home the bacon as several students placed at the champion level.

Klayden Powell won Grand Champion Swine, Champion Junior Swine Showmanship and Champion Cross. Carson Dillard won Reserve Champion Sr. Swine Showmanship, Champion Black OPB, Trinity Kitchens – Champion White OPB, Tye Thompson won Reserve Champion White OPB, Isabella Lopez – Reserve Champion Black OPB and Zane Thompson – Reserve Champion Cross.
