A storm-filled spring has carried over into June, making it difficult for outdoor activities to go on as scheduled. Still, some early-morning showers did not keep Farmersville from putting on their annual youth softball camp last week.
Though Coach Paula Wilfong and her staff had to make some adjustments with location of their event, they were still able to host the young softball players for three days of fun and learning. Coach Wilfong has certainly had some practice at improvising with her program’s training, as weather often shifted the schedule this past season.
“The weather didn’t want to cooperate,” Coach Wilfong said. “We had to rotate between the football field and our indoor hitting facility. It worked out terrific. We had enough space for all the girls to warm up and do the drills we put them through.”
