Camille Pendleton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Aug. 21, 2025. She was born March 4, 1934, in Farmersville, Texas, to Kathryn and Eldridge Honaker Pendleton. After graduating from Farmersville High, she completed her education at North Texas State as a proud member of Chi Omega.
Camille married Russell Green in 1954, and together they raised four children: Jay, Kay, Liz and Robby. Later, she married Deb Pennington, and they shared their time between Wichita Falls and a ranch in Central Texas.
Camille was a gifted artist, author and illustrator. In the late 1980s, she offered classes in various art mediums at the ranch, later moving to Houston, where she continued her work at Silver Street Studios. Her love of animals was another defining part of her life, always having multiple animals at her side. Camille was also the family historian and could easily recall stories, history and details from generations past.
Camille’s greatest joy was her family. Through the years, her home was always filled with warmth, laughter and traditions.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eldridge Pendleton; daughters, Kay and Lizabeth Green; and great-grandson, Javier Doblado.
She is survived by her children, Jay Green and wife, Connie, and Robby Green and wife, Crystalle; grandchildren, Jennifer Green, Jarra Calderon, Beau Green, Ashley Doblado, Jasmine Andrews and Eric Green; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to her devoted caregivers and to the many family and friends who enriched her life.
A celebration of life will be held Sept. 28 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at a family residence. Please contact the family for details. A family graveside service will be held Sept. 26 at 3 p.m. at IOOF Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas.
