Troy Gene Childers, age 67, of Caddo Mills, Texas, went to his Heavenly home on March 21, 2026. He was born November 2, 1958, to George and Maurine Childers of Farmersville, Texas. Troy married the love of his life, Rebecca Franklin, on May 2, 1987, in Copeville, Texas. He retired from the City of Farmersville after 28 years of service. He was a loving husband who enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Gertrude Boykin, Margie Bond, Laura Perkins, Corra Gilmore, Edna Hill, and Linda Ann Childers.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Franklin Childers; his brother, James Childers and wife Sandra of Savoy, Texas; his nephew, Randy Boykin of Cedar Creek, Texas; and his niece, Beverly Kibbe and husband Berry, along with great-nephew Brandon Kibbe and wife Kerri, all of Greenville, Texas.
A service is planned for April 10, 2026, at 1 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church of God, 2615 Walnut Street, Greenville, Texas, with Sister Joyce officiating.
