Thanks to the help of a Boy Scout working on his Eagle Scout project, the Farmersville City Park has new play equipment.

Climbing equipment called a serpent pod climber and a three-panel cyclone are being installed as Derrell Foltz’s project in the downtown park.

“Derrell Foltz did a tremendous job planning, designing and constructing the park playground equipment project along with the other scouts in Troop 310. The city of Farmersville is grateful for their service to the community,” City Manager Ben White said.

The project started Dec. 1 and is anticipated to be finished by the end of December.
