Fire safety no clowning matter

Fire and life safety are no laughing matter but Farmersville Fire Department and Collin County Fire Marshal’s office spent some time together clowning around.

The fire prevention agencies joined forces Oct. 4 through Oct. 10 along with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for fire prevention week.

The firefighters took the opportunity to remind local kids at Tatum Elementary School about the importance of having working smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside each sleeping area, and on every level of the home.
