Local ranch brings farm to table

by | Jan 23, 2020 | Uncategorized

If you’ve made a commitment to eat healthier in the new year and are looking for local food source outside a grocery store, Rockin SJS Farm in Farmersville just might be the place.

Run by Scott and Jane Sandifeer, this family-run farm/ranch breeds Piedmontese beef cattle and Southdown sheep. It all started in 2012, when the Sandifeers purchased an 85-acre farm in need of rehabilitation. Now, they are committed to bringing healthy, sustainable and local food sources using humane harvesting practices. The Piedmontese cattle are a unique breed that provide the healthiest, leanest beef available. The sheep are a heritage breed that are used for wool, meat and show stock for FFA and 4H.
