Farmersville 3 keys to defeating Dallas Molina

by | Sep 1, 2022 | Latest, Sports

An overtime loss can be heartbreaking for a football team, but the Farmers will look to bounce back in week two.

Coming back for their home opener, Farmersville takes on Dallas Molina (1-0) in their second game of the season on Friday, Sept. 2. The Jaguars defeated Fort Worth South Hills in week one 42-0, riding the back of a strong defensive performance in which they held the Scorpions to just 50 yards of offense.

Farmersville is aiming to get its first win under head coach Zac Quinlan. Here are the three keys to defeating Dallas Molina.

1. Find more explosive plays

The Farmers did a good job in week one of generating big plays in the offense, something that was hard to come by in their preseason scrimmages. Caden Norman hit Colton Harbin for a long touchdown, and Jeralin Craddock produced big plays in the running game and on special teams.

Against Molina, who is fresh off of a big offensive day themselves, the Farmers will have to create some explosive plays to keep up on offense. The Jaguars held the Scorpions to just 50 yards of total offense, including 13 on the ground. If Farmersville can continue to hit big shots and take chances in the offensive game, they should find a way to win their home opener.
