Farmersville’s defense dominates Molina in victory

by | Sep 3, 2022 | Latest, Sports

Farmersville’s defense was stout on Friday to keep Molina in check in the 49-7 home win Friday night.

Jacob Tull led the way offensively for the Farmers (1-1), rushing for three touchdowns in the game. The game was tied 7-7 early in the second quarter before AJ Blake’s red zone score put the Farmers up a score with five minutes before halftime.

Tull tallied his second touchdown shortly after the start of the third quarter, breaking loose for a long score to put the home team up 21-7.

Farmersville’s defense kept executing and the special teams got in on the action, blocking a punt in the end-zone for a touchdown. Ultimately, the Farmer’s defense was simply all over the ball. On top of the blocked punt for a TD, the Farmers recovered a fumble along with a fourth-quarter interception with a big lead.

After the first win of the season, Farmersville now looks ahead to their next home game. They’ll host Pilot Point next Friday, Sep. 9.
