Farmersville couldn’t keep up with Van Alstyne, as they lost 53-10 Friday night.

Jacob Tull ran the Farmers’ (0-3, 2-5) only touchdown from 49 yards out with 5:33 remaining in the second quarter. The score trimmed Van Alstyne’s (3-1, 4-4) lead to 14-10 and the Farmers forced a punt to get the ball back with a chance to take the lead before the break.

Caden Norman’s pass was intercepted on the ensuing drive and returned to the 1-yard-line, setting up a Panthers score on the next play. Van Alstyne scored one more time before the half to increase their advantage, leading 27-10.

Farmersville travels to Krum next Friday for their next game.
