Farmersville’s boys cross country team had a strong showing at the Princeton Invitational, earning third place at the Aug. 16 meet with a final team score of 62 points.
Landen Ware placed 14th with an 11:17 to lead the charge for the Farmers. He was one of four Farmersville runners to place in the top 20. Luke Lair ran to 16th place with a time of 11:18. Landon Green took 18th in 11:28, while Drew Crum placed 19th with an 11:40. Miller Meeks captured 29th with a 12:25.
In the junior varsity division, Travis Chambers turned in the top time for Farmersville, running to eighth with a 12:03. Jesse Hamm also cracked the top 10, finishing ninth with a 12:18. Cash Boyle was 12th in 12:37. Kenson Briscoe finished just outside the top 20, placing 21st with a 13:15. Bob Frech (26th, 13:33), Sawyer Boyle (29th, 13:38), Maddox McKay (33rd, 13:55), Brady Graham (36th, 14:03), Landon Herrera (49th, 14:50), Riley Hofmann (53rd, 15:05.52), Emmanuel Flores (57th, 15:20), Malakai Tenhet (58th, 15:26), Leland Cortez (59th, 15:28) and Keegan Chapman (62nd, 15:37) also competed for the Farmers.
Farmersville’s Dani Penaloza clocked a 14:57, good for ninth place. Caroline Lindsey placed 10th in 15:00.7. Daniella Jiminez took 25th in 16:17. Valerie Palmros ran to 39th in 17:11. Kaylee Marquez was 47th in 17:53. Aracelly Serna placed 52nd in 18:02. Abbygail Ware was 60th in 18:48. Delilah Gonzalez (66th, 19:25) and Angel Loya (70th, 20:04) rounded out the efforts for the Lady Farmers.
