Homecoming spirit along with raindrops is on tap this week for the Fightin’ Farmers.

The downtown pep rally that was scheduled for tomorrow night has been cancelled, however, there will be an indoor pep rally at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 at Farmersville High School’s gymnasium.

Community members are invited to attend but space is limited and they will not be able to enter the gym until 2:50 p.m.

Crowning of the Homecoming queen will occur during halftime at the game Friday, Oct. 19.

Senior queen nominees include Rebecca Barber, Lindsey May, Megan Ravsten and Callie Yellin.

Other Homecoming court nominees include Junior Class Princess Johanna Ferretiz, Sophomore Class Princess Kylie Self and Freshman Class Princess Makayla Bones.

The Farmers will face off Friday against Dallas-Lincoln for the Homecoming game, which starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Fightin’ Farmer Marching Band will perform their halftime show after the football game since the coronation will be held during halftime.

Since rain is expected, attendees are advised to dress appropriately and bring rain gear.
