The top two of Farmersville’s graduating class are ready for commencement ceremonies Friday night and are looking forward to a bright future in science fields.

This year’s valedictorian is Kiersten Haas and salutatorian is Ellie Odom.

Kiersten, who has a 4.40 GPA, has had to learn how to balance academics, extracurricular activities and a job at The Stable.

She will be attending Colorado State University at Fort Collins with a major in fermentation science and technology. She want to use her degree for microbiology and do more science based research.
