Farmersville ISD extends Spring Break due to COVID-19

by | Mar 12, 2020 | Education, Latest

The following statement was released by Farmersville ISD Superintendent Jeff Adams:

With the rapidly changing environment impacted by the declared Covid-19 pandemic, Farmersville ISD will extend Spring Break by one week.

At this time, we expect school to resume on March 23, 2020.  In an abundance of caution, we will close all activities until further notice.

The circumstances are unprecedented and we will work to solve issues in the best interest of FISD students, staff and the public.

We are in the contact with health officials in Collin County and with the Texas Education Agency.

Please plan accordingly for your family and their safety.  We don’t know what the future holds, but extended breaks with instruction offered online is a possibility.  We will update our website and Facebook pages as information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in these difficult times.  Please practice preventative measures and social distancing.

Sincerely,
Jeff Adams
