City releases COVID-19 operational update

The city of Farmersville released an operational update as a result of the coronavirus situation.

This morning’s release is as follows:

Based on current data available the City of Farmersville has taken the following steps to protect City Staff and Citizens.

City Hall will remain open during normal business hours via drive thru only. Any other business to be conducted will be by appointment by calling 972-782-6151. 

The library is currently closed to the public. Certain operations such as Municipal Court, Finance, Human Resources, City Secretary, Main Street, Development Services, City Manager remain available by appointment only.

City Management officials are in close contact with public health officials and closely monitoring updates provided by official Federal, State, and County agencies.

This is a fluid situation in which protocols and processes may change from time to time and we ask for understanding and patience.

Updates will continue to be provided through our public alert system (Nixel), social media platforms, and city website.
