Girls basketball tips off season

by | Nov 18, 2021 | Latest, Sports

The Farmersville girls basketball season is ready to hit the court despite a compressed timeframe.

They opened the season a week after the end of the volleyball season, traveling to Van Alstyne Tuesday, Nov. 16. The results were not available at our press print deadline.

In her first season as a full-time basketball coach, Sandra Hoge said he’s anticipating the start of season.

“I’m excited to get back into the gym,” she said. “We’re ready to hit the ground running and get the season started on a high note.”

The Lady Farmers return six players with varsity experience from last season: senior point guard Paige Lair, senior center Rylee Ortega, junior center Angie Lee, junior guard Morgan Erwin, junior center Tijay Amix and sophomore guard Jamie Varga.
