PARIS — For three quarters Friday night, the Farmersville Fightin’ Farmers had trouble stopping North Lamar’s offense.

Then, an outside source stopped the Panthers for them, an electrical outage.

Due to a blown transformer outside R.L. Maddox Stadium just before the beginning of the fourth quarter, the game between the Farmers and the Panthers was called after three complete quarters with the Farmers escaping Paris with a narrow 48-41 victory to move to 1-1 on the season.

The Farmers scored 21 unanswered points after trailing 7-0. Gordon Swartz, Kauri Miller and Drake Grimes each found the end zone, which put Farmersville in command at 21-7 going to the second quarter.
