Weather, vegetation cause power problems

North Texans who live in the unincorporated areas outside Farmersville and in some of the smaller towns in rural Collin County can expect the power to flicker on and off while the utility company that provides electricity continues work to bring the power grid up to a more reliable standard.

That’s the word from Oncor, which is “aware of the needs of the residents of the area,” according to the company’s public information officer Carrie Dunn.
