Highway 380 routes cause concern, confusion

Alignments. Easements. Bonds. Right-of-way. Families. Memories. Confusion.

All of these words are part of the latest discussion in the Highway 380 route saga with many citizens throughout Farmersville and the surrounding area demanding answers.

At a recent city council meeting, several citizens used the public comment portion of the meeting to provide the city input with regard to an alternate alignment of Hwy. 380.

Over the past year different alignments for the highway expansion and/or bypass have been discussed, both at meetings held by TxDOT and during public comments at local meetings.

Several options for Farmersville have been proposed including expanding Hwy. 380 to six lanes or creating a bypass.
