Farmers fall on road against Krum

by | Sep 11, 2021 | Latest, Sports

After falling behind in the first quarter, the Farmers couldn’t find the end zone en route to a 48-15 road loss to Krum

Key Play of the Game: Krum recovers fumble near endzone

Near the end of the second quarter, Farmersville was driving in opposing territory, trailing Krum by seven points. With the ball at the Bobcats’ five-yard line, a touchdown would tie the score heading into halftime. This is when Krum defender Ashton Lovell forced a fumble, which was recovered by Justin Wooten, moving the ball to their 25-yard line. Heading into halftime down by seven, this play was the best opportunity for the Farmers to draw even. Krum would score on its first drive of the second half while holding Farmersville scoreless the remainder of the game.

With the loss, Farmersville moves to 2-1 on the season. The Farmers return home next week, hosting Ferris Friday, Sept. 17.
